The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and MALARIA commits to the updated Every Woman Every Child Global Strategy for women's, children's & adolescents' health (2016-2030) through:

  1. Scaling-up programming - Strive to maintain or increase support to interventions directly impacting on women and girls from the current 55% by the end of 2016.
  2. Building resilient and sustainable systems for health - Maintain more than a third of Global Fund resources committed to strengthening health systems in order to directly and indirectly impact on the health of women and girls.
  3. Cross-sectoral collaboration -  The Global Fund will strive for cross-sectoral collaboration mechanisms and programs across health, education and social services in at least three high-burden settings for adolescent girls in Eastern and Southern Africa.
  4. Monitoring and evaluation - 75% of Global Fund indicators in grant-signed Performance Frameworks that require disaggregation by gender are reported in progress updates.
  5. Policy - All countries classified by the Global Fund as “Challenging Operating Environments” that submit concept notes will take a gendered approach, and address issues of reproductive and sexual health, as part of the concept note development process.
