In support of the updated Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health Bayer HealthCare (BHC) commits to expand its successful youth-centric health programs over the coming 5 years under the umbrella of the World Contraception Day (WCD) initiative and its related “It’s Your Life – It’s Your Future” campaign, to supporting increased levels of contraceptive awareness and knowledge about sexual and reproductive health amongst adolescents and youth worldwide through the provision of medically accurate and unbiased sexuality education via national, regional, and global programs.

Building on Bayer’s 2015 commitment to Every Woman Every Child and its FP2020 commitment Bayer expands its successful youth-centric health programs under the umbrella of the World Contraception Day (WCD) and the associated “Your Life” campaign. This is why, Bayer supports “120 Under 40: The New Generation of Family Planning Leaders” an initiative of the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Launched in 2015, the 120 Under 40 aims to recognize and galvanize the accomplished and inspiring young people who are making a difference in family planning in
reprodcutive health worldwide. The initiative focuses on the “positive disruptions” made by young  leaders in family planning – in-country and internationally – to enable tohers to build ont ehir success. In 2019, the third and final cohort of winners has been chosen and the full roster of 120 young family planning leaders has been completed. The group of winners includes family planning advocates, journalists, doctors, nurses and service providers, researchers staff of various foundations and local, national and international organizations, as well as founders of non-profits. The winners have formed a supportive network of accomplished young family planning champions who are propelling the field forward and shaping it to be more youth-friendly. Moreover, the Gates Insitute with support from Bayer provided two additional opportunities for youth to further develop their skills as thought leaders, advocates and partners, the Global Health Leadership Accelerator and the 120 Under 40 Ingenuity Fund.
