Pfizer continues its commitment in support of the Every Women, Every Child Global Strategy to help end all preventable deaths of women, children and adolescents within a generation and ensuring their well-being. Pfizer is contributing to EWEC’s Global Strategy by:
- The FP2020 Sayana Press Partnership;
- Supporting efforts to identify, test and validate new approaches to delivering quality immunization and family planning products and services for women and children;
- Preventing pneumococcal diseases by supplying vaccines to GAVI’s Pneumococcal Advance Market Commitment and supporting vaccine access in humanitarian emergency settings;
- Supporting efforts to expand routine childhood immunization and stronger implementation of Integrated Community Case Management to reduce deaths from pneumonia and diarrhea under national child health strategies;
- Supporting WHO’s global trachoma elimination efforts, through Pfizer’s longstanding commitment to International Trachoma Initiative, recently extended through 2025;
- Supporting efforts towards reducing barriers to prevention, treatment, and care for noncommunicable diseases in LMICs through the Access Accelerated partnership and other efforts;
- Improving access to cancer care services and products;
- Creating sustainable commercial models for products addressing the needs of women and child in developing countries;
- Supporting skills-based corporate volunteering program, working hand-in-hand with communitybased partners, sharing their operations, communications, supply chain, business development, and other skills/expertise with organizations to improve health care delivery in low and middle income countries.
